Start with an idea

What you can make

01

Prototype a small browser app from a concrete specification.

02

Generate browser tests with the official Playwright CLI skill workflow.

Official examples

See the documented workflow

The project walks through creating a browser game and enabling a browser extension; a tutorial, not an independently reproduced result.

Before you begin

What it takes to run

Desktop/CLI + model connection

  • Install the official desktop app or CLI and choose a working project directory.
  • Configure a hosted provider or download and run a local tool-capable model, for example through Ollama or LM Studio.
  • Optional browser-testing workflow needs the documented Playwright CLI skill and its dependencies.

The real tradeoffs

Cost & licensing

Running costs

No software license fee. Bring a supported model API account, supported subscription integration or local model runtime.

Provider billing and subscription limits vary. Local inference still consumes hardware resources; promotional credits are not a permanent free tier.

Code license

Apache-2.0

Read the code license

Models & other terms

No model license is bundled with the agent's code license; selected weights or hosted services have their own terms.

Extensions, providers and models can introduce separate licenses and service terms. The former block/goose URL redirects to aaif-goose/goose.

Know the limitations

  • Tool-using workflows require a model with working tool-calling support.
  • Local model context size and hardware can limit reliability and speed.
  • Review tool access and generated changes; enabled extensions can act on local files and connected services.
