Check the fit first

Built for a narrow, useful job.

For technical analysts, developers and anyone comfortable installing Python, running terminal commands and editing a simple schema file.

A good starting point

Small, upright, selectable-text PDFs with one simple ruled table per page and exact repeated headers. You choose which pages belong together and inspect every output.

Outside this workflow

Scans, OCR, handwriting, arbitrary layouts, automatic continuation and split or merged cells. Borderless examples demonstrate a failure; the pack does not include a tested repair.

Exactly what was tested

Python 3.12.14 on Linux x86_64 with pdfplumber 0.11.9, including a fresh environment installation. Windows and macOS instructions are included but untested. Other Python versions, ARM and real customer documents are untested.

Before you decide

The honest details.

Do I need to code?

You need Python and a terminal, and must edit a simple column-schema file. Commands and examples are included. Python and pip are not bundled. This is not a point-and-click app.

Will it work on my PDFs?

The tests cover ten small invented examples. They do not establish broad accuracy or compatibility with your files. Start with the free evidence and compare every extracted result with its source PDF. No universal accuracy promise or custom document repair is included.

Does it upload my documents?

The extraction workflow contains no network or upload code. Installation fetches Python packages. Files and reports remain on your computer during extraction. Local reports contain extracted text; protect them like the original document. This is not a security audit or an air-gap guarantee.

What happens to formula-looking values?

CSV values beginning with formula prefixes are apostrophe-prefixed, including negative numbers. Original strings remain in JSON. This deliberately conservative transform is not a guarantee about every spreadsheet application. Spreadsheet GUI import has not been tested.

Can I use it for client work?

Yes, you may use the workflow to produce client results. Original pack tools and instructional content may not be redistributed. Third-party licenses and previously free material retain their existing rights. Full terms and provenance are included in the ZIP.

What support and refunds are included?

Contact hammerhand.dlc@gmail.com for support or a refund request. Refund requests made within 14 days of purchase are accepted. No guaranteed response time or custom document-fixing service is included.
