What you can make

01

Prototype a text-to-image feature in your own app with a selected model and repeatable parameters.

02

Build a masked image-editing workflow that replaces selected regions and compares the results.

The documentation supplies code, input masks and generated example images. These are publisher examples, not our test results.

What it takes to run

Python + model pipeline

  • Requires Python, PyTorch, a compatible pipeline and downloaded model weights; this is a programming library rather than a turnkey editor.
  • GPU memory and accelerator support vary by model; offloading and quantization can reduce memory use with tradeoffs.

Cost & licensing

Running costs

No library license fee; compute is your responsibility.

Local GPU time, rented GPUs and any hosted inference endpoint can cost money. Some gated models require an account and accepted terms.

Code license

Apache-2.0

Models & other terms

Varies by checkpoint

Diffusers is a library, not a single permissively licensed model. Review the chosen model card and its terms.

Know the limitations

  • You must choose compatible models, schedulers, adapters and hardware.
  • Output quality, safety restrictions and commercial rights depend on the selected model; inpainting may also alter unmasked areas.
